Alan has been the driving force behind our relationship-oriented business model. Former President of Alliant Metals, with 20 years experience in the field of industrial metal sales and 5 years of experience in Internet technologies, as President of AlloyTech,Inc. Alan was working on ‘e-commerce’ in the metals industry before there even was the notion of e-commerce and ­no one in the business today has more practical experience or been able to construct such a comprehensive industry resource as Alan.

Ronak has worked on the MSO platform since the very beginning in conjunction with Alan Gamble. Like Alan, few people in the industry today have as much hands-on experience and intimate knowledge of both the metals and Internet industries. Ronak is the former President of Application Architects, an Internet and systems integration consulting firm.

Paul brings management, strategy and financial experience to the team and is responsible for strategic development and operations of MSO. Paul is a 10-year veteran of the investment management industry. His experience includes institutional equity and high-yield debt management. Paul received his MBA from Vanderbilt University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Jim is a 10-year veteran of the metals industry and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the MSO Exchange and developing relationships within the metals buying and supplying community. Jim spent 5 years at Vincent Metal Goods and 5 years at Richardson Trident Company.

Loriann has over ten years of experience in marketing and creative development and is responsible for overseeing MSO’s web development products and services effort. Loriann also drives the brand building effort at MSO and development of the MSO web site. She has experience in both industry and design agencies in addition to having started her own consulting firm.

Mr. Ackerman is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sheffield Steel Corporation, having served as President and CEO from 1992 to 1999. Mr. Ackerman is currently Chairman of the Steel Manufacturers Association.

Mr. Flanagan is President of BrookTrout Software, Inc. Prior to joining Brooktrout Software, Mr. Flanagan was Executive Vice President of Lernout & Hauspie’s Dictation Division. As general manager of L&H’s PC Applications Group, he was credited with building a successful application software business under the "Kurzweil Voice" brand. Previously, he held senior management positions with International Data Group, Lotus Development Corporation and International Thomson Organization.
